Toxic Habits You Need To Stop NOW

2020 is literally right around the corner. It's basically here. So we are all reflecting and deciding that we're going to have a better 2020 than 2019, right? So, how do we do that?

Today, I am going to share with you 7 habits that you need to get rid of in 2020 in order to have a successful year with a better you.

TOXIC HABITS YOU NEED TO STOP IN 2020

Saying that you're broke.

Your words are powerful and I have learned this year that if you claim being broke, being broke is where you'll always be. Say things like "I am in between blessings" or "I am loading my wealth." Now these may sound corny to you, but would you rather be corny or broke all the time? Your choice.

Eating whatever, whenever.

I am HIGH KEY preaching to myself right now. We have got to start taking care of our bodies which means that what we have to take care of what goes into it. I am trying to get my health together in 2020 and it is going to be difficult, but I am definitely going to be giving it my all. So try eating healthier, having decent meals with all of the food groups and all of those things.

Setting unrealistic goals.

Set goals that are a challenge, but ATTAINABLE. I am all for ambition, but I am also not going to set myself up for failure. I would rather exceed my own expectations through my hard work than feel like I can't accomplish a single goal I set for myself. As you continue to crush goals and even surpass them, your challenge grows and you'll hit the clouds eventually and keep on going, but give yourself goals you know won't be easily attained, but will be attained.

Blaming ANYONE else for why your goals aren't yet reached.

This is a pet peeve of mine. People are going to do you dirty, yes. People are going to try and hold you back, yes, But what other people do don't mean ANYTHING when it comes to your success. The success factor is in direct reaction to how YOU respond to what happens in your life. Take responsibility for yourself. Take responsibility and initiative in your own success. You have to invest in yourself time, money, and energy to reach your success. Nobody has to help you. Nobody has to lay out the red carpet for you. You create your own red carpet. You may think it's easier to blame someone else, but in actuality you are taking away so much of your power and giving it to someone else. You are POWERFUL. Act like it.

Waiting until you're burnt out to self-care.

Yikes, why so loud, right? This is also a preaching to myself moment. I will work myself to the bone, BUT neglect to self care. However, like I said earlier.. we gotta take care of ourselves. So take that bubble bath. Stop working all night, every night. Pace yourself.

Making savings optional.

SAVE YA COIN! Stop spending unnecessary money. In 2020, we are going to save money and stack our bread. Spending every dime you get leaves you broke later. Stay home and cook. Watch Netflix instead of hitting the theaters. Save. Your. Money.

Making excuses

Excuses are little lies we often tell ourselves to convince ourselves that it is okay that we have failed to do what we need to. I don't mean reasons that are valid. I mean excuses that usually is something we could have avoided. Stop making excuses and take responsibility for what you did or did not take action upon.

These are some things we gotta let go of and stop doing in 2020. What do you need to stop doing?
