Fall Morning Routine: Girl Boss Edition

It’s day 2 of Blogtober!! Last year, I included in Blogtober a Fall Morning Routine post and decided to do the same thing this week because I know that my mornings probably look a lot different now than it used to. I try my best to improve my routines as best possible to get the most accomplished with the least amount of effort. Does that make me productive or lazy?

I am all about calm mornings and I am also all about productivity. So here is my Fall Morning routine thar helps me best prepare to slay my day!

Fall Morning Routine

  1. Wake up and pray. I start my morning with God. That is a personal preference and if you don’t believe in God then this won’t resonate with you, but there is a HUGE difference on the days I don’t start off praying and the days that I do. It helps me to start off my day with the right mindset and spirit.

  2. Coffee and Reading. Ya’ll KNOW I love me some coffee! I like to begin my day with some reading and caffeine. I love reading as well. Recently I read a book called “You Are More Than Enough” by a newer author. It was such a good read and I enjoyed sitting in the mornings with my coffee reading it.

  1. Devotion and manifestation. Manifestation is relatively new to my life. I have been practicing it and it has made a huge difference in my life. I have learned how powerful the mind is. Soon, I will do a post about manifestation and what it looks like for me. I also do my devotion during this time. The reason I do devotion when I do manifestation instead of when I pray is because my mind will be a lot more alert at this time. I have had my coffee and read something else and so I know I will be able to properly receive and process what I read in the bible during my devotion time.

  2. Start on my to-do list and eat breakfast. I try to eat breakfast every morning, but I would be lying if I said I have made it to that point just yet. However, I try to eat breakfast while starting on my to-do list for the day. I usually see what can be done early in the morning. I prioritize what needs to be done versus what can wait and do it that way.

  1. Start getting dressed and ready for the day. Now is the time that  start getting myself ready to slay the day. I try to have my outfits already picked out so most of my time is spent on makeup (if I am doing makeup) and my hair. I do spend a lot of time on my hair even though I rarely do anything to it, haha!

  2. Check emails and social media. Now I try not to check my emails and messages first thing. It is distracting and I would prefer to start my day doing what I want to do. So, I wait until after I have gone through most of the morning before checking emails and social media notifications.

  1. Start the day. After all of this I am ready to start my work day whether that is a typical going to my part time job or if it’s staying at home and working on just my clients stuff for the day.

This morning routine is simple. I don’t like drawn out extra things and while I do wake up really early I don’t like to fill my mornings with so much that I feel drained before noon. No, I like to feel accomplished, but also at peace. So I choose some things that relax me and some things that keep me pretty busy and on my toes.

What does your morning routine look like?
