6 Ways To Increase Social Media Engagement

Engagement is way more important than followers. Don't believe me? I can't even count how many clients I have had reach out to me for coaching calls or management services who had LOADS of followers and and no engagement or conversions. Your conversions are more directly related to engagement than followers by far. Still don't believe me? I work full-time in my business comfortably... and at the time I am typing this my business Instagram and Facebook has less than 1,000 followers and my Twitter has less than 500.

SO, let's talk about the 6 ways you can increase your engagement on social media that is easy and simple.. but VITAL.

6 Ways To Increase Social Media Engagement

Engage with the RIGHT people

Aimlessly engaging is pointless and will lead you nowhere. You need to make sure that who you are engaging with is a part of your target audience and similar accounts. For more information how to find this, book a coaching call with me in the bookings tab on the menu!

Leave genuine comments

NOBODY wants those "Great post" comments. We know you didn't read our caption. We know you're only doing it hoping we will do the same. READ the caption and comment genuinely something relevant to the post itself.

Stop trying to sell on other people's profile

This is a big pet peeve of mine and angers me to my core. It is so disrespectful to try and sell on somebody else's post. That's what your own content is for. On other people's content you should be focusing on THEM, not yourself. The right people will in return go to your page to learn more about you and that will lead to your engagement but it is so tacky to be leaving comments trying to sell and promote yourself. I instantly lose respect for those businesses.

Build genuine relationships

Get to know your audience. Ask them about what they may need. Give some freebies when you see that they have questions you can answer. I always say this but I'll say it again: Your audience will fall in love with you before they fall in love with your business.

Reply to comments

Engage with your audience under your own content. Too often we leave comments unresponded to and that makes you audience feel ignored. In the words o a fellow girl boss and social media manager from Taylor'd Media "Your customer experience starts BEFORE you sign your client". People notice when you never respond to questions and comments under your post. They ESPECIALLY notice when you do and it brings them back to your page as well as builds a connection. This kind of trust is vital for converting.

Use CTA'S

This is basic marketing, but it is still widely ignored with some of my clients. Under almost every post there should be a call-to-action (CTA). That doesn't always have to mean a sales pitch. Ask a question. Get to KNOW your audience. This kind of regularity gets conversations started in your comments! And that kind of engagement is exactly what you want.

These are the 6 ways you can start increasing your engagement to get the best possible results.
