Waking up 20-30 minutes earlier
Start your day how you want by waking up a little earlier and choosing how you want to begin your mornings.
Carrying a bottle of water with you
Hydrate before you die-drate. Water has a lot of benefits and can keep you refreshed and energized throughout the day.
Charging your phone outside of your room at night
This has multiple benefits. One being that it will keep you off your phone at night. The other being that it will keep you from starting your day with your phone in the mornings.
Smile at someone every day
Smiling can make a huge difference in people's lives but also can make a huge difference in yours. Just try it. I dare you.
Read something for 20 minutes before bed
Reading will relax you to help you have better sleep and is also a much better alternative to being on your phone at night before bed.
Take several 5-minute breaks throughout the day
Take care of your mental health. Get some water. Take a turn about your work space. Day dream even. It is important to take consistent breaks so you can feel refreshed while working on things.
Clean as you cook
Not enough people do this. I cannot tell you how annoyed I get when I see someone cooking and leaving things as they are. If you clean as you cook, cleaning after your meal will be so simple and more likely to get done.
Smile at yourself in the mirror
You look good... act like it.
Make up your bed each morning
I didn't used to see the value in this, but it does have a huge impact on how we start our day. This one simple action keeps you from wanting to get back in it and be lazy. It also lets you start off your day with a sense of accomplishment. You started your day by fixing something.
Listen more than you speak
This helps in so may areas of your life. Trust me.
Stretch
I used to get lectured about this because I have slight scoliosis and so I needed to start doing stretches for my alignment but didn't want to. But once I started I actually saw a big difference. It gave me lots of energy.
